2010 SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE /
JULY 19th – JULY 30th
Purelements’ Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) is a two week/full-day summer program which offers structured training for aspiring artists of all levels (novice and the pre-professional student). Students will take part in a rigorous schedule designed to build strength, and proper use of traditional and contemporary dance vocabulary.  The SDI will be broken up into two age groups. Group  1 (ages 10 – 13), Group 2 (14 – 18). Participants will spend their day exploring several dance techniques (ballet, West African, contemporary modern/jazz) with Purelements’ faculty and critically acclaimed guest artists. Students will also get a chance to learn repertoire from Co-Artistic Director Kevin A. Joseph.  The SDI will culminate with an ending performance on July 30th; Time:TBA                                                                            SAMPLE SCHEDULE / MON - FRI

2:30pm - 3:00pm     Reflection and reviewing
